DLSA Reasi hosts 11 day online awareness programme on Juvenile Justice Act 2015

 

REASI  : District Legal Services Authority Reasi, in collaboration with Department of Education, kick started 11 day online awareness program for Legal Literacy Clubs of different schools on ‘Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 along with its latest Amendments and its Model Rules of 2016.’

The event is being hosted under the aegis of NALSA and under the leadership of Mr. Justice Ali Mohammed Magrey, Executive Chairman JKLSA and also under the guidance and supervision of R.N. Watal, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Reasi and Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Reasi. In these Programmes, an effort has been made by DLSA Reasi to sensitize and aware the members of Legal Literacy Clubs of different schools namely Government High School, Panassa; Government High School, Katra; Government High School, Talwara; Government High School, Sarhi; Government High School, Saloon; Government High School, Kanjli; Government High School, Sirla Bhaga ;Government High School, Tanda; Government High School, Jamla; Government High School, Lancha and Government High School, Bhagdhar; (LLCs) existing in District Reasi on the topic of ‘The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 along with its latest Amendments and its Model Rules of 2016.’

Sunali Khajuria, Legal cum Probationary Officer, JJB, Reasi will be the resource person in these Online Programs, who will deliver talks on Juvenile Justice Care and Protection of Children Act 2016.

She will also focus on the core topics of Rights and Protection of Children, Categories of Children (Child in Conflict with Law, Child in need of Care and Protection and Child in contact with Law), the role of Juvenile Justice Board, Child Welfare Committee and Special Police Juvenile Unit.
