DLSA Reasi hosts awareness camp on Protection of Children against Sexual Abuse Act

REASI : District Legal Services Authority, Reasi, in collaboration with Department of Education, today organised an awareness program on the “Protection of Children against Sexual Abuse Act, 2012(POCSO); J&K Victim Compensation Scheme 2019 and ‘The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 here at Govt. High School(Girls)Katra.

Advocate Rashi Baru, and Sunali Khajuria, Legal Cum Probationary Officer, JJB, Reasi were the resource persons.

The resource persons shared their knowledge on the subjects and tried to sensitise the participants about the core issues on the subjects.

Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary DLSA Reasi also spoke on the occasion.

In the middle of the program, a documentary Film of Childline on “Good Touch and Bad Touch”” was also shown to the students on the projector.

At the end of the program, the students interacted with Secretary DLSA Reasi . The Secretary DLSA Reasi also conveyed Vote of Thanks to the School Management for making this Program a successful event.
