DLSA Reasi hosts Essay Competition for school students

 

REASI : In strict adherence to the Action plan issued by Legal Services Authority of UT of J&K under PAN India Awareness and Outreach Campaign, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Reasi today conducted Essay Competitions on the topic Freedom Movement through the Legal Literacy Clubs of various Government Higher Secondary Schools and Government High Schools in collaboration with the Department of Education and under the guidance of R.N. Watal, the Chairman.

The students zealously participated in the Essay Competition under the supervision of Faculty members of the participant schools, senior panel advocates, staff and PLVs of DLSA Reasi.

Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary DLSA personally visited Government Higher Secondary School (Boys); Govt. Higher Secondary School (Girls) ; Govt. High School Gran; Govt. High School Mari and Govt. High School Kamaldanga.

After the conduct of the essay competitions a Documentary Film on NALSA was shown to the participants of the schools on the projector and the participant students were sensitized about the role of NALSA, SLSAs, DLSAs & TLSCs in providing Free Legal Aid Services to the beneficiaries in terms of section 12 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. The results of these essay competitions will be declared shortly. Similar essay competitions were also organised by TLSC Katra and Mahore.
