DLSA Reasi hosts webinar on Role of Legal Services Institutions
REASI : In compliance with the mandate of Action Plan of the month of August 2021, and under the guidance and supervision of R. N. Wattal, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Reasi, Secretary, District Legal Service Authority, Reasi organised an On-line capacity building programme/Webinar for the Legal Services Lawyers and Para Legal Volunteers of District Reasi on “Role of Legal Services Institutions in providing Legal services to the weaker and marginal sections of the society with special reference to Legal services Authorities Act, 1987 and The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005”.
Senior Advocate, Kuldeep Kumar Dubey of District Court Complex Reasi was the resource person whereas Panel Advocate, Raj Kumar acted as a Moderator. Secretary, District Legal Service Authority, Reasi delivered an introductory address whereas the resource person shared his valuable knowledge on the subjects selected for today’s Program.
All the Panel Advocates and PLVs of District Reasi attended this On-line programme. The main objective of organising this Webinar was to sensitize the Legal Services Lawyers of District Reasi about their role and responsibilities in legal services institutions. The PLVs of DLSA, Reasi were also sensitised through this programme that they are expected to act as intermediaries bridging the gap between the common people and the Legal Services Institutions so that impediments in access to justice for the economically and educationally deprived people can be removed.
Besides this District Legal Services Authority, Reasi also organised an awareness programme in collaboration with Degree College Pouni on Victim Compensation Scheme and other women related issues.
