DLSA Samba promotes SWACHHTA by organising series of competitions

 

SAMBA : The District Legal Services Authority Samba, in collaboration with Municipal Council organized quiz, painting, symposium and debate competitions here in Samba Fort to mark the 154th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and as a part of National Campaign under the banner “SWACHHA PAKHWADA -SWACHHTA HI SEVA (SHS), 2023.

Chairman, DLSA Samba was the Chief Guest.

The program was organised as per the directions of the JK Legal Services Authority (JKLSA) and under the insightful directions and over all supervision of Yesh Pal Kotwal, Chairman DLSA (also Principal District & Sessions Judge), Samba.

Addressing the participants, the Chief Guest highlighted the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi in freeing India from foreign Domination and also the purpose behind the Campaign. He also sensitised and appealed the students to stay away from the drugs, while explaining thir ill effects. Rekha Kapoor, Secretary, DLSA Samba also spoke on the occasion.

Amit Gupta E.O, Municipality, Samba presented the welcome address.

The program witnessed the presence of Vice Chairman Municipal Council Samba, Counsellors of different wards from Districts Samba, faculty members and students from Govt. Degree College Samba , Govt Higher Secondary School (Girls), Samba, Staff members from District Court Complex, Samba and LADCs Samba, Staff Members and PLVs of DLSA Samba .

The winner students, who participated in the competitions, were awarded with Certificates of merit and the remaining participants of the competitions were also awarded with certificate of participation.

At the end of the programme, Swachhta Pledge taking ceremony was also organized. The participants took pledge to work voluntarily towards the Swachh Bharat Mission .

In addition to this, a Cleanliness drive was also organised at District Court Complex, Samba and Chichi Mata Temple, Samba by the staff members of District Court Complex, Samba and PLVs of DLSA respectively in the presence of Judicial Officers.
