DLSA Udhampur holds awareness event on Legal Rights of Women

UDHAMPUR : District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur under the guidance of Chairman and overall supervision of its Secretary, Rajni Sharma (Sub-Judge) today organised a campaign on “Legal Awareness on Empowerment of Women”.

The aim of the Programme was to raise Awareness about the Legal Rights of Women. The DLSA Udhampur organised a programme through Physical Mode on the subject here at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner Office.

The Resource Persons of the Programme were Lawyers Advocate Shallu Khajuria and Advocate Vijay Lakshmi.

The resource persons highlighted the issues faced by the Women. The Child programme officer, Aganwari Workers and 155 Female Teachers of different Schools of the District were also present in the Programme. The Secretary, while thanking the Lawyer and the teachers, threw light on the Legal Rights of the women in the society and stressed upon the need to safeguard all basic rights which are vital to a human life especially to Women. Chairman, TLSC, Ramnagar, Smriti Sharma (Sub Judge), Chairman TLSC Chenani Amandeep kour (Munsiff), Chairman TLSC Majalta Priyanka Mahajan (Munsiff) had joined the programme through virtual mode.
