DLSA Udhampur holds awareness program on Women rights

UDHAMPUR : District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur under the guidance of its Chairman and overall supervision of Secretary Rajni Sharma (Sub-Judge) organized an awareness programme on the ‘Empowerment of Women and their Legal Rights’.

The event was held at Bhaskar Degree College, Udhampur. The Resource Persons of the Programme were Advocate Sanjeet Kumar, Advocate Vijay Lakshmi, Advocate Shivani Gupta and Advocate Akhil Dubey.

The Participants of the programme included the Principal Dr. S.K. Magotra, HOD of Sociology, PRO. Heena Kumari, teaching staff and the male and female students. The resource persons discussed the issues faced by the Women and enlightened the gathering about various Welfare Schemes launched by the Government for their empowerment.

The Secretary DLSA, while thanking the Resource Persons and the teachers, threw light on the Legal Rights of the women. She stressed on the need to safeguard all basic rights which are vital to a human life, especially to Women.
