DM Jammu notifies Micro Containment Zones
Jammu: District Magistrate, Jammu, Anshul Garg today declared Kalika Colony and Gorkha Nagar of Tehsil Bahu falling under Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu; 1A, South and East Extension, Ward No. 52, Trikuta Nagar of Tehsil Bahu falling under Police Station Trikuta Nagar; Sector 06, 09 and Extension-08 Nanak Nagar of Tehsil Bahu falling under Police Station Gandhi Nagar; Gurha, Bakshi Nagar, Shopping Centre near Bhagat Singh Chowk Bakshi Nagar of Tehsil Jammu falling under Police Station Bakshi Nagar and Preet Nagar from Tent Wala Gurudwara to Tagore Public School Ward No 45 of Tehsil Jammu South falling under Police Station Gandhi Nagar, as Micro Containment Zones.
The DC has appointed Sagir Mohammad, AD Mills (9419167819), Pradeep Dingra, HDO Jammu (9419139988), Ramesh Pandotra, SMS Dansal (7889618821), Dheeraj Sharma, HDO R.S. Pura (9419133200) and R.K. Bhat, SMS R.S. Pura (9419331309) as administrators of these zones.
The following restrictions shall be in place with immediate effect till further orders.
The above-mentioned areas shall be under strict lock down and tight perimeter control, except for essential needs.
There shall be no movement, whatsoever, in and out of the Micro Containment zones.
For any medical emergency, individuals can contact the 24X7 control room at 0191-2571616, 0191-2571912 and necessary facilitation shall be done.
It shall be mandatory for the persons residing in designated Containment Zones to get themselves tested and any refusal in this regard shall invite action including filing of FIR under relevant provisions of Disaster Management Act.
The Magistrate and SHO concerned of the area shall ensure that 100% sampling and testing is done.
That 100% vaccination of all eligible (45 years plus) beneficiaries as certified by the Medical Officer Incharge shall be additional criteria for partial de-notification of the zone.
It is further ordered that the Tehsildar concerned shall be the overall incharge for enforcement of Micro Containment SOPs in the notified zones.
Chief Medical Officer, Jammu shall ensure deployment of sufficient teams for sampling and surveillance of the designated zones. He shall ensure contact tracing of positives and their testing as per the SOP.
The District Control Room shall monitor strict home and medical isolation of all positives reported from the zones twice on a daily basis.
Any violation of this order shall invite punitive action under section 188 of Indian Penal Code and other relevant sections of Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 and the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
