Documentary Screening and Interactive Session on Viksit Bharat @2047 organized by GDC Sidhra
Department of English and Department of Sociology GDC Sidhra in collaboration with NSS Unit under the aegis of IQAC and the banner of Viksit Bharat @ 2047, organized a screening of documentary on ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’. The documentary foregrounded the mission of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, and his dream about New India and deliberated upon how a Viksit Bharat would look like in 2047, the different goals that needs to be accomplished to achieve Viksit Bharat and efforts required to be put to achieve a developed nation. The documentary further highlighted the positive changes brought about by welfare schemes such as Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan, Samagra Shiksha, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Digital India, PMAY-G, UJALA, and more. It showcased stories of hope and progress, ranging from dignified employment under Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan to the liberating success of PM Ujjwala. The documentary screening was followed by an interactive session wherein students from different semesters of the college put forth their ideas of a Viksit Bharat as well as the challenges that lie ahead on the journey towards a truly Viksit Bharat. The event served as a space for critical reflection and discussion. The event was organised by Dr. Rudrika Khajuria, HOD Dept. of English and Prof Shonima Malhotra, HOD Dept. of Sociology under the guidance of the Principal of the College, Dr. B. B. Anand.
