Doda: Batch of 15 Females flagged off to Jammu for skill up-gradation under HIMAYAT Scheme

 

DODA : A batch of 15 Female volunteers drawn from far flung areas of district Doda were today flagged off to Jammu to undergo skill development training under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY) also known as HIMAYAT Scheme run by the government all over India.

A bus carrying the candidates was flagged off for Jammu from Doda by 2IC, 10 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Company from its Operating Base at District Police Line.

The trainees will undergo 4 month training in Food & Beverages Service Steward and Front Office Executive in the Hospitality Sector at a centre in Jammu.

Apart from that, personality development training to improve communication skills and computer training will also be imparted to the trainees. The entire cost of training, including boarding and lodging, is borne by the government under this scheme.

Post completion of the training, the candidates will undergo interviews for placement into various companies. The initiative has been taken by the Army in Doda district to motivate and provide a platform for employment and empower the females of the society. It has always been an endeavor of the army to facilitate the implementation of such government schemes at grass root level.
