DPC Kulgam approves district plan of Rs. 537.99 crore for 2021-22

 

Kulgam: A meeting of District Planning Committee (DPC) members was today held here at mini-secretariat Kulgam for approval of the district plan for the year 2021-22.

 

The meeting was attended by District Development Council Chairperson, Mohammad Afzal Parray, Vice Chairperson, Shazia Jan and other PRI members.

 

Besides ADC, ACD, ACR, CPO, Ex. Engineers and other concerned officers participated in the meeting

 

At the outset of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat highlighted the importance and significance of the District plan for the development of the district. He said that the plan has been formulated by active participation and involvement of DDCs, BDCs and PRI members.

 

The DC also added that PRIs have an instrumental role in development and implementation of Developmental programmes.

 

Later Proposal for approval of District Plan for year 2021-22 was laid for approval and District Planning Committee approved the Plan of Rs. 537.99 crore for year 2021-22 which will set impetus to developmental scenario of the district.

 

On the occasion, the District Development Council Chairperson, Mohammad Afzal Parray extended his full support to district administration for the development of the district.

 

He also applauded and complimented district administration for their efforts and measures put in place to combat Covid-19 pandemic.
