DPS Bopal celebrates grand Citation Ceremony for grade 12 students

Ahmedabad: Delhi Public School-Bopal (DPS-Bopal) organised a grand Citation Ceremony for students of grade 12 of the 2023-24 batch to celebrate their hard work and mark the beginning of their journey to realise their dreams.

Adorned in radiant graduation gowns and caps, the students received personalised citations, filled with fond words of appreciation by their class teachers, serving as touching mementoes of their academic journey. It was also a poignant moment for parents, whose hearts swelled with pride as they saw their wards poised to take flight into the next phase of life.

The ceremony commenced with a cultural performance, followed by an inspiring address by Principal Ms. Sabina Sawhney. She urged the students to face the challenges ahead with strength and continue their pursuit of knowledge. She also said that the difference between ordinary and excellence and the driving force of success is passion.

The students walked up to the stage in their ceremonial robes to receive the citation from DPS-Bopal Director Ms. Vandna Joshi and Ms. Sahwney. The ceremony was also graced by other dignitaries, school staff and proud parents.

Two parent speakers, Dr. Ritu Sharma, working as Dean of Liberal Studies at PDEU, and Vishal Upmanyu, Senior Vice president at IndusInd Bank, also spoke on the occasion and encouraged students to be agents of positive change.

The priceless moments of the students lighting tapers by taking the light from their respective class teachers signified that education is nothing but the kindling of a flame. With the knowledge and wisdom they have garnered over the years, the students are ready to light many more candles and inspire change.

The ceremony marked the end of the students’ school life and the beginning of a new and exciting chapter. The Citation ceremony was a memorable event, filled with emotions, blessings and aspirations for the bright future that lies ahead for them.
