DPS Indirapuram organizes vaccination camp for students
Ghaziabad: Delhi Public School Indirapuram organized a two-day COVID vaccination camp for the students on 6th &7th January in collaboration with the health officials of Ghaziabad. Students between the ages of 15 to 18 years were given the jabs by medical officials, the turnaround of students was immensely great on both the days.
DPS Indirapuram was one of the first few schools in the district to display proactivity in establishing a prompt communication with local health officials when the government announced vaccination open for adolescents. The teachers and medical staff explained the need for vaccination to encourage more students and parents for bringing students to school to take their first dose. Around 553 students registered for the vaccine in the school camp.
On the successful completion of the vaccination camp, Ms. Sangeeta Hajela, Principal, DPS Indirapuram said, “Our priority is to keep the students safe from virus. Therefore, after the government made the vaccine mandatory for adolescents, we spoke to school students and their parents and organized the camp with the help of health officials. During the camp, the guidelines implemented by the government and the health department were followed with full commitment. I thank the health officials and health workers of the district, and my students who made this vaccination camp a success”.
