Dr Bala V Balachandran honored by AIMA with Kemal Nohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education

Chennai: Great Lakes Founder, Dean & Chairman Dr. Bala V Balachandran has been honored with the prestigious ‘All India Management Association’s (AIMA) – Kewal Nohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education for the year 2017’ at the 62nd AIMA Foundation Day & 12th National Management Day that took place in the National capital yesterday.

Thanking AIMA for the recognition, Prof. Bala said that he was indeed humbled and honoured to have received the award that acknowledges the progress that Management Education has made in India. As the commercial landscape changes all over the world, it is imperative that Management Education too mirrors these changes in order to create managers and leaders who are responsible corporate citizens. The award has energized and motivated him to work even harder in making India a premier destination for Management Education in the years to come. He also records his sincere gratitude to the corporate and academic communities and his team at Great Lakes for the overwhelming support that he has received.

Mr. Mohan Lakhamraju, Vice – Chairman & CEO, Great Lakes Institute of Management received the Award on behalf of Dr. Bala and expressed his gratitude towards AIMA.

Ltd., with AIMA – Dr. J S Juneja Award for Creativity and Innovation for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Mr. Harish Bijoor, CEO, Harish Bijoor Consults Inc., with the AIMA Dr Ram Tarneja Award for Best Article in Indian Management.
