Dr Hina Bhat reviews performance of KVIB Jammu; “Encourages youth to avail benefits under various schemes”
Jammu: Vice Chairperson, J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB), Dr Hina Shafi Bhat today chaired a meeting of District Officers of KVIB Jammu to review their performance under various schemes being implemented by the Board.
The meeting was attended by Secretary/CEO KVIB Rashid Ahmad Qadari, Dy. Chief Executive Officer/Administration Masroor Ahmad Shah, other senior Officers of the KVIB and all the KVIB District Officers.
Dr Hina Shafi Bhat underlined the need to encourage youth for availing benefits of the schemes and advised the field functionaries to provide all possible help to them through various schemes meant for creating employment in the UT.
It was informed that during the year 2020-21 under Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme, J&K KVIB against the physical targets of 390 units and financial targets of Rs. 1170.60 lakh has released margin money amounting to Rs. 1897.26 lakh to 764 units, thus having physical achievement of 195.90% and financial achievement of 162.08%.
It was also given out that KVIB against the targets of 452 units under J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) involving margin money of Rs. 904.00 lakh, has released margin money in favour of 420 units amounting to Rs. 1018.27 lakh till date.
Dr Hina Shafi Bhat expressed her pleasure on the performance achieved under JKREGP and exhorted upon all the District Officers to sustain the performance achieved and continue to improve it further.
Secretary/CEO, KVIB, Rashid Ahmad Qadri advised all the District Officers to provide handholding support to all the 1st generation entrepreneurs from filing their loan cases to the establishment of their units.
