Dr. Mahesh Sharma participates in campaign “Swachhta Hi Sewa” at Humayun’s Tomb

 

Dr. Mahesh Sharama, Minister of State (Independent charge) for Culture participated in the campaign “Swachhta Hi Sewa” at Humayun’s Tomb, near Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, New Delhi today. The cleanliness campaign was planned at the Humayun’s Tomb by the Ministry for Culture and Archeological Survey of India (ASI). The Minister and the Officers and Staff members of the Ministry of Tourism and ASI undertook an intensive Cleanliness work there and picked up the garbage.

The Minister said that to fulfil the grand vision of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Culture is committed to clean all its monuments and initially 100 Adarsh Smaraks under control of Archeological Survey of India (ASI) all over the country are being cleaned. Now onwards, one week per month will be devoted for cleanliness of these monuments. He called upon the people to make India garbage free and corruption free.
