Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai Flags Off Delhi to Kanyakumari Bikers Rally for Siddha Wellness & Awareness Campaign

Union Minister of State for Ayush and Women and Child Development Dr. Munjpara Mahendra Bhai Flags-Off Delhi to Kanyakumari Bikers Rally Under ‘Siddha’ Wellness Rally & Awareness Campaign organized by CCRS (Central Council for Resrach in Siddha) and (NIS) National Institute of Siddha, Ministry of Ayush. This flagging-of event took place at Ayush Bhavan, Ministry of Ayush campus new Delhi. The SWARC is a transformative 20-days expedition covering approximately 3333 KMs. from New Delhi to Kanyakumari, showcasing the Siddha system of Medicine. The rally will pass through 8 states/ UTs, with 21 awareness camp points.

 

On this occasion, Dr. Munjapara said that Siddha System of medicine is one of the oldest system of medicine. Considering the role and importance of Siddha in National as well as global Health and Wellness sector Ministry of Ayush has established the National Institute of Siddha and Central Council for Research in Siddha.

In the event welcoming all, Director National Institute of Siddha Dr. Meenakumari said that this bikers rally will support the Ayush system of medicine with it bikers rally we will disseminate the message of Siddha across the nation and connect youth from this ancient system of medicine. The bikers will serve as dynamic Siddha medicine ambassadors with a hashtag #ScientistsOnBike #DoctorsOnBike #FacultiesOnBike #ResearchersOnBike.

Along with Ayush Minister, Joint Secretary B.K. Singh, Joint Secretary Dr Kavita Garg, DDG Satyajit Paul, Advisor Unani MoAyush Dr. M.A. Qasmi, Principal Consultant MoAyush Pramod Kumar Pathak, President of Board of Unani, NCISM – Siddha and Sowa Rigpa, Dr. K Jagannathan and other dignitaries of were present during the event.

The program’s key features include awareness events, meet and greet sessions with Public representatives, Government Dignitaries, etc., featuring 20 bikers and 2 stand by bikers.

Siddha system of medicine is one of the oldest codified traditions of healthcare in the Indian sub-continent with novel therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities. Muppu, Siddha Kaya Karpam and Siddhar Yogam are the crowns of the Siddha system of medicine. External therapies like Varmam and Thokkanam also add strength to the system.
