Dr. Najma Heptulla addressed students of JMI on Standardisation of Education Boards

 

New Delhi: Dr. Najma Heptulla, Governor, Manipur and Chancellor of JMI today visited the university as the Chief Guest in the valedictory function of the Intra University Trilingual Debate Competition on the theme “This House Believes That Education Boards Should Be Standardised Throughout The Country” to commemorate the memory of the first Education Minister of India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The Cultural Committee of JMI organised this debate competition.

She was welcomed in the Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium by the Offg. Vice Chancellor, JMI Prof. Shahid Ashraf and Registrar, JMI Mr. A. P. Siddiqui (IPS). Dr. Heptulla gave the certificates to the winning participants in the competition. Addressing the students, teachers and other staff of the university present in the auditorium, Dr. Heptulla said “the theme of the debate competition is very apt as it is the need of the hour to standardise the Education Boards in the country. Organising the debate on this theme is the best way to pay homage to late Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who always strived for the educational upliftment of the people of the country”. She congratulated Jamia for its consistent high performance in
NAAC, NIRF, Times Higher Education and other important international rankings.
