Dr. Rajendra Prasad Birthday to be celebrated as Rashtriya Gyan Divas
New Delhi: The 135th birth anniversary of Dr. Rajendra Prasad to be celebrated on the 3rd December 2019 at the Constitution Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi, India as fond remembrance of his extraordinary contributions to our nation building. On this occasion the organizers will formally appeal to the government to declare this day as the National Knowledge Day or Rashtriya Gyan Divas for the whole country. The organizers are preparing a case study explaining the reasons as to why this annual occasion should be declared as Rashtriya Gyan Diwas by the Government of India and will be presented to the chief guest of the evening Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President India and other guests of honors including Shri Om Birla Lok Sabha Speaker, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad Union Minister Law and Justice, Communication and Electronics and IT, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank Union Cabinet Minister of HRD, Shri Giriraj Singh Minister of Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Union Cabinet Minister Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Manoj Tewari President Delhi BJP, Shri. Prahlad Patel Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, Shri Nityanand Rai Union Minister of State (MoS) for Home, Shri. Shyam Jaju National Vice President of BJP, Shri Sanjay Jaiswal MP Paschim Champaran, Shrimati Rama Devi MP Shivhar, Shri Raj Kumar Verma Rajya Sabha Sansad and Shri Sanjeev Chaurasia MLA Digha.
The event is to be organized by India Positive, an organization committed to promoting the values and thoughts of Dr Rajendra Prasad countrywide and it has been organizing such functions every year in the last five years. “As a precursor to the birth celebration this year, the India Positive launched a nationwide signaturecampaign on October 2nd 2019 to connect people for the greater good,” shared Manish Sinha, the Secretary of India Positive.
The organizer to appealed to all guests present on the dais to recommend this petition to the right authorities in the Government, backed by a signature campaign of 25 thousand enthusiasts spread across north, south, east and west of India to initiate the process of such a vital declaration in order to give long overdue recognition that our beloved first President of the country, Desh Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad deserves. It was reiterated that such recognition will encourage and inspire the young India of today and for generations to come, on the importance of knowledge, hard work and simplicity. These values are becoming increasingly even more relevant in this modern era where the world moves toward a knowledge economy.
