Dr. Sachidanand Joshi Conferred with Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Akademi Akhil Bhartiya Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh Award

New Delhi: Sahitya Akademi, Madhya Pradesh Sanskriti Parishad has announced All India and State Awards for the year 2019. Thirteen authors have been selected for the All India Awards and 15 for the State Awards for 2019. The Akademi has announced the award of ‘All India Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh (Story) Award’ to noted litterateur Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts. This award has been given for his work ‘Palbhar Ki Pehchan’. Dr. Joshi along with Dr. Manoj Pandey, Prof. Manisha Sharma, Dr. Kavita Bhatt, Dr. R. P. Saraswat, Dr. Indu Rao, Mr. Rajesh Jain, Dr. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri, Prof. Suryaprakash Chaturvedi, Mr. Prashant Pol, Dr. Sudha Gupta ‘Amrita’, Mr. Santosh Ranjan, Mr. Ajay Jain ‘Vikalp’ has also been honored with All India Awards.

In the All India Awards given by Sahitya Akademi, Madhya Pradesh Sanskriti Parishad, Madhya Pradesh Government, Department of Culture, Bhopal, litterateurs are honored with one lakh rupees in cash, shawl, quince, memento and citation. On the other hand, the State awardees are given fifty thousand rupees in cash, shawl, shreefal, memento and citation.

All India Awards are as follows-

  1. All India Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh Award (Story) to Dr. Sachidanand Joshi, Delhi for his work ‘Palbhar Ki Pehchaan’
  2. All India Pt. Makhanlal Chaturvedi Award (Essay) to Dr. Manoj Pandey, Nagpur, for ‘Alochana Ke Naye Pariprekshya’
  3. All India Raja Veersingh Dev Award (Novel) to Prof. Manisha Sharma, Amarkantak for ‘Yeh Ishq’.
  4. All India Acharya Ramchandra Shukla Award (Criticism) to Dr. Kavita Bhatt, Uttarakhand ‘Bhartiya Sahitya Mein Jeevan Mulya’
  5. All India Pandit Bhavani Prasad Mishra Award (Song and Hindi Ghazal) to Dr. R.K. P. Saraswat, Saharanpur for ‘Tum Bin’
  6. All India Atal Bihari Vajpayee Award (Poetry) to Dr. Indu Rao, Haryana for the work ‘Chhaanv Sanskriti Ki’
  7. All India Kubernath Rai Award (Lalit Nibandh) to Shri Rajesh Jain, Delhi for the work ‘Ishwar ki AatmKatha’
  8. All India Vishnu Prabhakar Award (Autobiography-Biography) to Dr. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri, Mohali for the work ‘Shri Guru Nanak Devji’.
  9. All India Nirmal Verma Award (Memoir) to Prof. Suryaprakash Chaturvedi, Indore for the work ‘Badalti Hawain’.
  10. All India Mahadevi Varma Award (Sketches) to Mr. Prashant Pol, Jabalpur for the work ‘ Ve Pandrah Din’.
  11. All India Prof. Vishnukant Shastri Award (Travelogue) to Dr. Sudha Gupta ‘Amrita’, Katni for the work ‘Chalein Bhraman Ki Ore’.
  12. All India Bhartendu Harishchandra Award (Translation) to Mr. Santosh Ranjan, Bhopal for the work ‘Thelma Mary Corelli’.
  13. All India Narad Muni Award (Facebook/Blog/Net) to Mr. Ajay Jain ‘Vikalp’ of Indore.
