Dr. Shashi Tharoor to visit Campion School Mumbai for the inaugural edition of the Sheth-Gomes Essay Invitational
Mumbai : Campion School’s class of ’81 hopes to institutionalize and pay homage to two of their most legendary teachers, Mr. Joe Sheth and Mr. Stanley Gomes, through the inaugural edition of the Sheth-Gomes Essay Invitational. The invitational not only aspires to honour two iconic teachers but also aims at enhancing creative writing skills among boys and girls from an early age.
Borosil Ltd, India’s leading glassware brand, is highly pleased to be associated with this essay writing competition. Borosil’s MD, Mr. Shreevar Kheruka, is also a proud alumnus of Campion School.
Part of the invitational are Mr. Rajdeep Sardesai, as Hon ‘jury Chair and Atul Kasbekar as the Convenor. Dr. Shashi Tharoor, will be the guest of honour at the event.
Member of Parliament, Dr. Shashi Tharoor said, “I sincerely hope that this contest unearths the finest writing talent at an early stage. My compliments to the Campion class of 1981 for this initiative.”
The essay topic will be shared with the students in the morning, and the winner will be declared the same evening. The winner will get certificates, goodies, 1-lakh cash, and a special trophy. The competition will be held on 26th November 2022 at the Tagore Hall, Campion School, 13 Cooperage Road, Fort, Mumbai, at 6 PM.
