Dr. Syed Ziaur Rahman elected Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine

 

Aligarh : Prof. (Dr.) Syed Ziaur Rahman, Chairman, Department of Pharmacology, has been elected as a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FFPM). The FPM, a faculty of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, recognizes excellence in pharmaceutical medicine, encompassing education, policy, and engagement.

Dr. Rahman, a pharmaceutical physician, will oversee the Pharmaceutical Medicine Specialty Training (PMST) and administer the Diploma and Certificate programs in Pharmaceutical Medicine, Human Pharmacology (DHP and CHP), and Experimental Therapeutics. These programs provide crucial accreditation for professionals in drug development.

FPM annually honors those advancing the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine, upholding competence, ethics, and professional standards for public benefit. As part of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AoMRC), FPM collaborates with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the framework for revalidation of pharmaceutical physicians, ensuring ongoing professional development (CPD) for its members.
