Dr. Tessy Thomas of DRDO visited Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences

New Delhi: Dr. Tessy Thomas, Director General, Aeronautical Systems, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), visited Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), Coimbatore on 25th September, 2019 and launched the “Small Satellite program’ in the University campus. She addressed the students and inspired them by her motivational speech. Dr. Tessy highlighted the unique achievements of the country in the areas of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), Missiles and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. She also brought to light the different stages in the launch of missiles and impressed upon the importance of teamwork in Research and Development.

The Vice Chancellor Dr.P.Mannar Jawahar, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr.E.J.James have made elaborate arrangements.
