DSEJ hosts interactive session on Human Rights

Jammu: As part of a series of events organised to commemorate the International Human Rights Day, Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) today organized an Interactive session on Human Rights. Lawyer and Social Activist from High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Neeru Mishra and Lawyer J&K High Court, Deepali Sharma were the Guest speakers on the occasion.

About 2000 participants got benefitted from this session.

Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta in her message emphasized the importance of human rights and said that the theme for 2020 is ‘ Recover Better- Stand Up for Human Rights’ which focuses on creating equal opportunities for everyone while addressing the failures and disappointments ‘we all are exposed to due to COVID-19 pandemic. She said the Directorate Of School Education Jammu is leaving no stone unturned in reaching out to its students.

Lawyer, Neeru Mishra threw light on the detailed historical background of need for human rights.

Focusing on the legal perspective of the Day, she said that the constitution has envisaged several rights keeping in view the needs of the people.

Lawyer J&K High Court, Deepali Sharma elucidated the educational aspects of human rights.

The programme proceedings were conducted by Dr. Alka Sharma and coordinated by Sadaket Ali and Ashutosh Sharma, Team Members, Cultural & Education Cell, DSEJ.
