DSEK organises online programme to commemorate ‘World Environment Day’
Srinagar: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) today organised an online programme to celebrate ‘World Environment day’.
On the occasion, Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. Tasaduk Hussain and Om Prakash Sharma, Ex. Director Pollution Control Board were present.
Both the dignitaries talked about the importance of the day and gave detailed information regarding the protection of the environment and eco- system.
The Director School Education on the occasion quoted some examples of Canada and some other countries that how they restored their water bodies. He emphasized that we must also take such measures in our country to protect our environment from further degradation.
Speaking at the event, the Ex. Director (PCB) gave detailed information regarding the wetlands of Kashmir and their role in ecological balance.
Later, the Principal and other speakers highlighted the importance of the environment and presented their valuable suggestions regarding environmental safeguard.
Further students presented their paintings and also shared their views regarding the environmental issues.
