DSW team to look after facilities in halls of residence
Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University took strong initiatives to make the hostel administration more responsive and accountable towards students’ issues related to dining facilities, reading rooms and sports activities.
The Dean, Students’ Welfare (DSW), Prof Mujahid Beg has assigned different halls of residence to Deputy and Assistant DSWs to look after different facilities in halls of residence in coordination with the hall administration.
Prof Naiyer Asif (Deputy DSW), along with two teams of Assistant DSWs, Dr Sajjad Abdur Rahman, Dr Syed Mohd Yahya and Dr Anamika Gupta and the other with Dr Mohd Shamsuddin Jafri, Er Mohd Arif, Dr Syed Mohd Yahya and Dr Mohd Danish Azmi will monitor the residential facilities at Hadi Hasan Hall, Begum Azeezun Nisa Hall, Nadeem Tarin Hall, Non-Resident Students’ Centre (NRSC), Sulaiman Hall, Ross Masood Hall and Mohsinul Mulk Hall.
Similarly, Prof Shakeel Ahmad (Deputy DSW), with two teams of Assistant DSWs, Dr Aijaz Ahmad, Dr Dastgir Alam, Dr Mohd Danish Azami, Mohd Habib and the other with Dr Shakeeb Ahmad, Dr Abdul Samad and Er Mohd Arif will oversee the students’ affairs at Viqarul Mulk Hall, Sir Ziauddin Hall, Sir Syed (South) Hall, Sir Syed (North) Hall, Aftab Hall and Dr BR Ambedkar Hall.
Prof Asma Ali (Deputy DSW) with the help of Dr Abdul Samad, Dr Anamika Gupta and Er Mohd Arif will look after the affairs at Sarojini Naidu Hall and Bibi Fatima Hall, while Prof Zeba Hasan (Deputy DSW), along with Assistant DSWs Dr Mohd Danish Azami, Dr Shakeb Ahmad and Dr Anamika Gupta will take care of the residential issues at Abdullah Hall, Begum Sultan Jahan Hall and Indira Gandhi Hall.
