DTU Welcomes New Chairman for Board of Governors
The new chairman of the board must have the competencies and experience to handle the strategic management and development of DTU in collaboration with the President and the rest of the Board of Governors. One of the first tasks will be to lead the board’s work on developing a new strategy for the entire university.
Strategic management of DTU and spokesperson for the board
The Board of Governors is composed of internal and external members. The external members have strong competencies within board work and top management and reflect DTU’s tasks and stakeholders.
The chairman is the spokesperson for the board and handles the ongoing contact with the President between at least 4 annual board meetings. The chairman also participates in the strategic dialogue with the Minister for Higher Education and Science.
In addition to leading the vital work of developing DTU’s future strategy, the chairman will, together with the rest of the board, contribute to the preparation of the celebration of the university’s 200th anniversary in 2029.
The new chairman of the Board of Governors is expected to have experience as a board leader, a strong understanding and interest in research, education and the university world, top management experience and an understanding of the strategic collaboration with ministries and authorities.
