Duty Magistrates assigned tasks in Kupwara district

Kupwara: The District Magistrate (DM) Kupwara today assigned different tasks to Executive Magistrates, Duty Magistrate and BDOs, in view of surge in of Covid-19 cases in the district.

The DM asked all Magistrates to ensure usage of masks in their jurisdictions. He has also asked the concerned Tehsildars to assign area wise duty to the Executive Magistrates and Duty Magistrates already designated for the said purpose and furnish the progress report to each Executive / Duty Magistrate working under their control on account of implementation of COVID 19 appropriate behaviour in their respective areas.

In case of any funeral, marriage event or religious function is to take place, the organizer shall inform the concerned Tehsildars a day before the said function about the number of participants and venue where function has to take place, who shall accordingly ensure monitoring of SOPs during such event.

It was also given out that in case any such function where large gathering is reported from any corner of the district without prior information to the concerned Tehsildar, action taken as warranted under law shall be initiated against the defaulters.

The DM directed the Tehsildars and BDOs to ensure awareness among general public regarding precautionary measures, COVID appropriate behaviour/SOPs by involving Lumbardars /Chowkidars including PRIs in their respective jurisdictions.

He also directed to submit action taken report on daily basis and in case any deviation on the part of any officer is found, action as per law shall follow accordingly.
