DWP J&K, WD Kmr. organises Mass cleanliness drive around Hokersar Wetland Reserve

SRINAGAR : On the occasion of ‘Iconic Week’ being celebrated under ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ regarding Wetland Events, the Department of Wildlife Protection (DWP) J&K Government, Wetlands Division (WD) Kashmir, in collaboration with Municipal Council Srinagar today organised Mass cleanliness drive around Hokersar Wetland Reserve (RAMSAR site), here.

The main aim of the function was to raise awareness among stakeholders about the importance of the Wetlands and to make ‘Hokersar Wetland Reserve’ polyethene free.

Among others, Wildlife Mitra’s, Field staff of Lakes Range and field staff of Municipal Council Srinagar (Ward No.25 & 26) participated in the cleanliness drive.
