E- Cell of IIM Bodh Gaya hosted the second edition of Entrepreneurship Talks with Mr. Anil G, Co-founder & COO of Bounce

Gaya: Pursuing entrepreneurship is a passion for many, but it takes a lot of determination to do that. To inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship and build a start-up ecosystem, Envision – the E-Cell of IIM Bodh Gaya started Entrepreneurs’ Talk – a platform for students to connect with leaders, achievers, dreamers, and doers. After a successful inauguration, last month by Mr. Amit Kumar Agarwal, CEO & Co-founder of NoBroker.com, its second session took place on 16th September. This time, the event was graced by the presence of Mr. Anil G, Co-founder & COO of Bounce, a bike rental startup based in Bengaluru.
Mr. Anil is one of the three members on the frontline of the initiative that has revolutionized commuting by providing quick and cost-effective bike-sharing services in traffic-congested cities like Bengaluru. The startup, albeit launched a couple of years ago, has already made a mark for itself by having a fleet of more than 8,000 scooters and advanced technology like IoT being used to track its bikes.
The talk session commenced with a welcome note by Dr. Medha Srivastava, Chairperson of Envision, and was further taken forward by Mr. Anil. The hour-long session offered the opportunity to get to know about the journey of Bounce and how the founders decided to start Bounce to help the common people deal with their last-mile woes for daily commuting, a very prevalent problem in India. A lesson to learn here was that one of the traits of an entrepreneur is to keep an eye on the needs of the people and cater to them with efficient solutions.
The session was an interactive one where Mr. Anil shared his experience and the hardships that one may face when it comes to building something from scratch. The last leg of the program was scheduled for questions where students inquired about the Bounce’s journey and other questions like the financial risks surrounding a startup and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Tamali Chakraborty.
All in all, it was a learning experience for the entrepreneurship enthusiasts of the institute.
