E-journal of Aligarh Journal of Qur’anic Studies, Volume 2, Issue 2 released

Aligarh: Aligarh Journal of Qur’anic Studies has come out.

The latest issue published by the K A Nizami Centre for Quranic Studies, Aligarh Muslim University focuses on a recent translation of the Quran in English entitled as The Luminous Quran by Waleed al-Amri (2019). The journal has six articles and reviews on this translation and five more contributions on other themes including “Types and Usage of Metaphor in Muhammad Ali al-Sabunis Safwah al-Tafasir”, “Problems Related to the Translation of The Holy Quran”, “Quranic Perspective on Pluralism”, “Nazir Ahmad Dihlawi and his Translation of the Quran” and “The Contributions of Abdur Raheem Kidwai to Quranic Studies”.

Prof Abdur Raheem Kidwai (Director), Dr Nazeer Ahmad Abdul Majeed (Assistant Professor), Dr Mohammad Mubeen Saleem (Assistant Professor) and Dr Gowhar Quadir Wani (Assistant Professor), Sajid Shaffi and Sajad Ahmad Padday (reseaesrch scholars), both from Department of Islamic Studies, Aligarh Muslim University, have contributed to the journal.
