E-learning workshop on MoE backed Virtual Labs organised in CGC Landran
An e-learning workshop on Virtual Labs was organised by the department of Computer Science Engineering (CSE), COE, CGC Landran. The practical training session was attended by more than 100 students. The workshop’s key objective was to foster the culture of remote self-learning and experimentation in students via Virtual Labs.
Faculty members from CGC’s CSE department conducted the workshop which trained students to work with new technologies such as Flutter and transform their pathbreaking ideas into practically implementable hybrid applications. It also provided students an opportunity to perform simulated experiments by getting remote access to simulation–based labs in science and engineering. An initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India under the aegis of the ‘National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology’ Virtual Labs project aims to foster the culture of community learning amongst all Higher Education Institutions.
The first such workshop was organised for both faculty members and students of CGC Landran in November last year by resource personnel from IIT Delhi to demonstrate how to use these Virtual Labs and extract the maximum benefit out of them. Its primary aim is to provide easily accessible and high quality education across the country. The project is a consortium activity consisting of 12 participating institutions with IIT Delhi being the coordinating institute.
