Educational institutions are temples of learning, inculcate value system in individuals: Advisor Khan
Jammu: Terming the educational institutions as temples of learning and wisdom, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan today said educational institutions inculcate values, ethos and discipline in children who ultimately play their part in nation building.
The Advisor made these remarks here, while addressing award presentation ceremony-cum-cultural carnival of Maharaja Hari Singh Agricultural Collegiate (MHAC) School, Nagbani.
Advisor Khan said that educational institutions perform a great role in forming value system of an individual during his or her early stages of development.
The Advisor highlighted that due to healthy competition among various schools, both in government and private sector, people are being benefited in general and student community in particular.
“The level of education seekers and education providers has reached at a greater level due to the healthy competition. This has ultimately benefitted people in general and student community in particular ,” Advisor Khan told the gathering.
The Advisor acknowledged the contribution of the founders of MHAC School for establishing the institution for the welfare of poor children of Jammu region, who are provided education and are also being looked after.
“I appreciate the school management for rendering valuable services to the people of Jammu & Kashmir by providing quality education to the youth and enabling them to make successful careers in various walks of life” he said. He complimented students for exhibiting excellent talent through cultural items presented at the function.
Earlier, the Advisor paid floral tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh and also inspected exhibition venue, which showcased different forms of art created by waste materials.
The NCC Cadets of the institution also presented guard of honour to the chief guest.
On the occasion, Principal MHAC School, Sween Puri presented the annual report highlighting various activities of the school during current academic year.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Tahir Firdous, Local Managing Committee members, parents, school children and local Panchs and Sarpanchs were also present on the occasion.
