Educational Institutions, Govt deptts organise flag hoisting, other activities to celebrate R-Day

 

JAMMU : Educational Institutions and Government Departments across Jammu Division celebrated Republic Day by holding flag hoisting functions and other activities.

Government Degree College, Marh celebrated Republic day with great fervor, zeal and national spirit amid due adherence to COVID SOPs. Former MLA, Sukhnandan Chowdhary was the Chief guest on the occasion.

Parshotam Lal (Sarpanch) and other prominent Members of the civil society were also present on the occasion.

Principal of the College, Prof. Aekta Gupta along with the Chief Guest and other members hoisted the National Flag, followed by recitation of National Anthem by guests, staff and NSS Volunteers of the college.

Government Degree College Sunderbani celebrated Republic Day with great zeal and enthusiasm in the college premises. The Cultural committee organized a number of activities in collaboration with the NCC unit of the college. The activities were coordinated by Prof Sheraz Kousser (convener cultural committee) and Ravi Kumar (NCC officer). Saloni Sharma was awarded a cash prize for her brilliant performance. The event was organized under strict Covid precautionary measures. The Additional DC, Vinod Kumar Behnal along with the Principal of college Prof (Dr.) Vandana Gupta unfurled the National Flag.

Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt.PG College for Women, Gandhinagar celebrated Republic Day in the College premises and paid Reverence to the National Flag.

Dr. Sangita Nagari, the Principal of the College unfurled the National Flag followed by the National Anthem. The Programme concluded with the distribution of sweets among the faculty members present on the occasion amid Covid-19 SOPs.

Sheep Husbandry Department celebrated 73rd Republic Day at Sheep Husbandry Complex Jammu.

Director, Sheep Husbandry Jammu, Krishan Lal unfurled the National Flag amid singing of National Anthem in presence of staff members of Sheep Husbandry Complex Jammu.

During the occasion, COVID guidelines/protocols were strictly adhered.

Department of Wildlife Protection held a programme for Republic Day Celebrations at Manda Jammu. The National Flag was hoisted by Chief Wildlife Warden, J&K and field staff participated in Guard of Honour.

The Chief Wildlife Warden highlighted various initiatives like Institution of awards for wildlife conservations by Jammu & Kashmir Government, preparation of management plan of Wetland Conservation Reserves for the first time, declaration of Kalij Pheasant at UT bird and quick response of the staff to address the Human-Wildlife conflict issues. The programme was attended by Regional Wildlife Warden (Jammu), Wildlife Warden (Jammu), Wildlife Warden (Jambu Zoo), Wildlife Warden (Technical), Wildlife Warden (Headquarter), Assistant Engineer, Office and Field staff of the department.

Agriculture Department celebrated 73rd Republic Day at the Lawns of Krishi Bhawan, Jammu with great fervor and enthusiasm. Director Agriculture Production & Farmers welfare Jammu, K. K. Sharma, hoisted the National Flag. The programme was organized jointly by the associates of All J & K Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum (AJKAOWF), Non-Gazetted Agriculture Graduate Association (NGAGA), J&K Agriculture Technocrats Association (JAKATA), All J & K Agriculture Employees Association and Agriculture Drivers Union. A number of officers and employees of Agriculture Department participated in the function following COVID-19 SOPs.

Directorate of Health Services Jammu celebrated 73rd Republic Day with great patriotic fervour in the office complex of Directorate of Health Services Jammu to commemorate the day on which the Constitution of India came into effect and the country became a Republic.

The event started with unfurling of the National Flag by Director General Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization and Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman followed by singing of National Anthem and patriotic songs by officers and officials of the Directorate.

The DHS paid rich tributes to the Constitution makers and also the Corona warriors of Health Department who lost their lives in the fight against corona. He also appreciated and encouraged the health workers for their dedicated efforts in the battle against corona. He said that the health department is fully geared to tackle any untoward situation in case of any potential surge in corona cases and also exploring new ways to improve health care delivery services.

The event concluded with the distribution of sweets amongst the staff.

Social Forestry Division Rajouri celebrated the glorious 75 Years of India’s independence by conducting a massive plantation drive.

About 53 Panchayats are covered by planting around 1000 plant saplings of different tree species were planted in the institutes existing in the villages. Sarpanches, Panches, other panchayat members and officials from Rural Dev. Department participated in the plantation drive.

PCCF/ Director, Department of Social Forestry, J&K, Roshan Jaggi, closely monitored the plantation events in Rajouri district which were held under the overall supervision of Regional Director, Jammu Region and DFO, Social Forestry Rajouri.

Flag hoisting ceremony and plantation drive were also held in the office of DFO, Social Forestry Division, Rajouri.

At District Court Complex Doda: As per the directions of Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir & Ladakh, the Republic Day was celebrated by hoisting the National Flag here at the District Court Complex, Doda. Mehmood Ahmed Chowdhary, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Doda unfurled the Tricolour at 10.30 A.M by taking salute through a police contingent of DPL.

Judicial Officers of District Head Quarter, Doda Sheikh Babar Hussain, District Mobile Magistrate (Traffic); Neena Thakur, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate and APPs Rajesh Gill and Sunil Kumar Sharma, clerical Staff, police personnel and lawyers were present on the occasion.

The Additional District & Sessions Judge, briefly spoke on the occasion and thanked the participants as well the police contingent for participating in the salute ceremony. The event was celebrated with due adherence to Covid-19 protocol issued by Government of U.T of J&K and Government of India.

District Court Reasi: As per the directions of the High Court of UT of J&K and Ladakh, 73rd Republic Day was celebrated in District Court Complex (HeadQuarter) Reasi today with full Zeal & enthusiasm . The event commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by R. N. Watal, Principal District & Sessions Judge Reasi (Chairman District Legal Services Authority Reasi) which was followed by reciting of the National Anthem by the gathering.

The program/event was attended by Ld. Sub-Judge Katra, Ld.CJM, Reasi, Ld. Secretary District Legal Services Authority Reasi, Ld. Munsiff Katra, Ld. Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Reasi, Ld. Public Prosecutor of Sessions Court Reasi, Ld APP Reasi, members of the Bar Association Reasi and Katra, Staff Members of both District Court Reasi & District Legal Services Authority Reasi & PLVs. The proceedings of the program were conducted by Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Reasi. All the Covid related Sops were strictly complied with at the time of hoisting of National Flag.

In addition to this, the District Legal Services Authority Reasi under the guidance of R.N.Watal Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Reasi also organized an Online Slogan writing and Painting competition on the eve of Republic Day in which the students of different standards of Government Middle Schools of Gran and Upper Seela of District Reasi, zealously participated and displayed their talent through Online Zoom meeting.
