Educationist Dr. Varun Gupta received Peaceful Mind Fellowship
New Delhi: Renowned educationist, social worker and author Dr. Varun Gupta has been honoured with Peaceful Mind Fellowship (PMF) which is registered with the United Nations (U.N.) Global Compact. The felicitation was done at India International Education conclave organized by On Sky Global USA at National Capital. The same has been given for his work & contribution in the area of education, skill development training & mental health awareness and psychological well-being. H.E. Prof Nabit Kapur (Diplomat & Senior Advisor to the Government of Somaliland and Liberia) has given the honour to Dr. Gupta.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Varun Gupta said, “I am delighted to be acknowledged for my efforts, and I intend to continue my efforts to promote education and skill development. Skill-based education can be described in India as a professional acquiring through short-term training or courses outside of the formal training system that leads to employment in the informal sector. The government’s Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) scheme, which aims to promote acknowledgment and standardisation, incorporates such skills. Competence, on the other hand, must be developed both in formal and informal learning environments.
Dr Varun also appreciated Prof Nabhit Kapur’s professional interests including mental health advocacy, well-being diplomacy, international affairs, diplomacy and global peace and agreed to support with the foundation embarking its vision, “To make psychology a household term, peace, and well-being and Culture”.
