Effective service delivery key component of Block Diwas: DC Ramban

Ramban: To ensure effective service delivery to the public by different departments, besides evolving a vibrant mechanisms for on the spot redress of public grievances, District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan, today presided over a public hearing here at Maitra under “Block Diwas” initiative.
Similar events were held at five different locations of district Ramban.
ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishi, DSWO, ARTO, BDO, Tehsildar, Xens, CHO, CAHO, DHSO, PRIs and other officers and officials of various departments attended the programme.
The DDC listened to public issues, grievances and demands highlighted by the PRIs, deputations and individuals from Panchyats Maitra, Seri, Sencha, Chanderkote, Sawni, Sildar, Pernote and other adjoining areas.
He encouraged the participants to highlight their individual issues also to avoid their visits to government offices. He directed the district and sectoral officers to ensure service counter of their respective departments at block diwas meetings so that the public can reap the benefit of different government schemes without visiting offices repeatedly.
The DDC directed Executive Engineer REW to prepare DPR for Panchayat Ghar Maitra. The PHE department was directed to cover all uncovered households under FHTC, similarly, AD Food was directed to ensure ration extension counters at Sencha. He also directed XEN PDD to cover all un-electrified households.
The DDC said that the district administration is making all efforts to provide all the basic amenities to the common masses at their doorsteps.
Earlier, the people apprised the DDC about their demands including construction of veterinary hospital at Chanderkote, development under CSR, availability of timber on concession rates, completion of Seri-Sencha road, ration depot at Sencha, upgrading of power infrastructure at Panchayat Balawat, computer/ Laptop for Panchyats, replacement of wooden pole, staff for health centre at Bilawat , ration card for residents of Bakshi Nagar Mohalla, construction of Panchayat ghar at Maitra and other issues and demands.
After listening to all the issues, the DDC passed on the spot directions to the concerned departments for early redress of the same. He assured the public that all their genuine grievances shall be redressed in a time bound manner.
