Eindhoven University of Technology: Good results for TU/e in QS Rankings by subject

The TU/e retains a strong position in the QS World University Rankings by subject. In the category ‘Engineering & Technology’ the TU/e sees a strong positive trend over the past five years, climbing from 103rd place in 2018 to the top 50 last year. This year, TU/e’s ranking us the 58th place worldwide. TU/e is nationally ranked 2nd in ‘Engineering & Technology’.

The QS ranking is based on the citations of research publications, the H-index of researchers, the results of the academic reputation research by QS, and the QS research into the employer reputation. The new international research network (IRN) indicator has been added to the weighing factors this year. Over the last years TU/e has seen a strong rise on the employer reputation indicator, and a moderate increase on academic reputation.

In 2022, the TU/e retains top 50 position in 4 areas, strengthening a position as a top tier technical university:

Mechanical Engineering (rank 36)
Architecture/Built Environment (rank 45)
In the overall 2022 rankings TU/e is at a stable position in the top 10% of universities worldwide. The 2023 overall ranking of all universities is expected in June.
