Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat: Youngsters from Manipur to Visit Punjab from March 6–12, 2023, for Yuva Sangam Exposure Tour
Central University of Punjab to host an exposure trip of Manipur student delegates to strengthen people to people connect
Bathinda : A group of 30 students and three faculty members from the state of Manipur will visit Punjab in the Yuva Sangam—Exposure Tour, under the ambit of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme, from March 6–12, 2023. Yuva Sangam, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is mooted with an aim to strengthen people to people connect and build empathy between the youth of North-Eastern states and the rest of India.
The Central University of Punjab, a nodal centre for the Punjab region under the Yuva Sangam Program, will make hospitality arrangements and provide support for the smooth execution of the exposure trip in coordination with other government departments.
Prof. Sanjeev Thakur, the Nodal Officer from CUPB, mentioned that, as per the exposure visit schedule, the Yuva Sangam delegates from Manipur will reach Bathinda via Amritsar on Monday night On arrival, they will receive a grand welcome at the Central University of Punjab. The entire tour of these delegates has been planned, and the itinerary has been designed to provide them with multi-dimensional exposure of Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Prodyogik (Technology) and Paraspar Sampark (People-to-people connect).
During their week-long exposure trip, the Yuva Sangam Manipur delegation will be visiting famous tourist spots, educational institutes, industries and major infrastructure in Chandigarh, Bathinda, Amritsar and Sri Anandpur Sahib. The officials of Central University of Punjab will take them to famous places in Punjab, including Sri Harmandir Sahib, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda Fort, the National Martyrs Memorial, Hussaniwala, Virasat-e-Khalsa Museum, Wagha Border, etc.
The visit has been planned to create an ever-lasting impact on the minds of these youth towards the rich heritage, customs, and traditions of the state of Punjab.
