Embassy of India Kathmandu, DCM , Shri Prasanna Shrivastava, inaugurated an India-Nepal Mithila Art exhibition

Kathmandu: Embassy of India Kathmandu, DCM , Shri Prasanna Shrivastava, inaugurated an India-Nepal Mithila Art exhibition organised by Shivata Love Foundation, Nepal with support from the BP Koirala India-Nepal Foundation.The exhibition inaugurated on 15 August 2024, was themed “Swatantra Soch” & was a representation of the rich Mithila art tradition that flourishes in certain regions of India and Nepal. The exhibition displayed paintings made by talented Mithila artists of India & Nepal. The Indian Mithila artists included 4 Padma Shree awardees, namely, Shanti Devi, Dulari Devi, Baua Devi & Shivan Paswan. It was a reflection of India & Nepal’s shared cultural heritage.
