Empowering Tobacco Cessation at Dr. ZA Dental College

Aligarh : The Department of Periodontia and Community Dentistry at Dr ZA Dental College, AMU, hosted an extension lecture titled “Newer Perspectives in Tobacco Cessation” from 12-1 PM. The goal was to achieve a 100% success rate in tobacco cessation.

Guests, including Dr. ND Gupta (Officiating Principal) and Dr. Vivek K Sharma (Chairman), were present on the occasion. Master Trainer, Dr. Pawan Gupta, shared insights on tobacco cessation and oral cancer control.

An interactive session featured the ICanCaRe Tobacco Cessation Quiz, adding a fun element while reinforcing key messages. Participants were urged to work towards #SaveTheYouth and #advisequittobacco, with registration for further resources available.

The event was led by Dr. Neha Agarwal, Dr. Pramod Yadav, and Dr. Syed Amaan Ali, and hosted by Dr. Shazia. .

The extension lecture was a significant step in creating awareness and promoting a healthier lifestyle through organizing team and support partners.
