Empowering Youth through Emerging Technologies to mark the celebration of National Youth Day

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) working under the Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of Gujarat, organizing a year-long program to inspire, educate and empower the youth generation of the state.

As a part of this, GUJCOST has organized a webinar on 12th January,2021 to mark National Youth Day which is also being celebrated as the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The program is designed to harness the power of youth by inspiring them to be innovators and entrepreneurs so that they become creative and innovative entrepreneurs. This is as per the clarion call of the Hon’ble Prime Minister on Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Narottam Sahoo, Advisor, GUJCOST informed that, GUJCOST has an elaborate plan to celebrate the National Youth Day this year on 12th January 2021 as well as to celebrate the programs and outreach activities on various themes targets to younger generation on every month on emerging technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and so on.

GUJCOST has already introduced Emerging Technologies in Supercomputers and Design Lab in different Colleges and Universities across the state. The webinar will be addressed by Shri Anupam Jalote, CEO of iCreate, the International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology.

The webinar will be attended by 220 students, faculties of different engineering institutions and university departments in the state. The webinar can be attended over the google meet at https://meet.google.com/vxx-skbs-aza and the same will be live streamed on GUJCOST YouTube channel also.

Emerging Technologies will lead the next wave of Intellectual Property Creation for India. New technologies create new opportunities in life and science and build bridges between people from different countries and cultures. The program also encompasses empowering youth through Intellectual Property to prepare them aptly for the entrepreneurship world.
