‘Endodontics Day’ at AMU

 

Aligarh : Patient awareness programme, quiz contest to evaluate the knowledge of participants within academics and beyond and deliberations on latest advances in endodontic surgery, dental implant and root canal treatment among other procedures took place to mark the ‘Endodontics Day’ at the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Z A Dental College (ZADC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

Prof Rajendra KumarTewari (Principal, ZADC) said: “It is critical to receive proper dental care for a healthy mouth and eating. With the right treatment, your teeth can last a lifetime”.

He also distributed certificates to the participants.

Prof S K Mishra (Chairman, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics) apprised: “Federation of Operative Dentistry (FOD) was formed on March 5, 1982 and was renamed as Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (IACDE) in the year 2011—and since then the operative and clinical activities and acumen in endodontic management advanced by many folds”.

Faculty members, Prof Ashok Kumar, Dr Syed Mukhtar Un Nisar Andrabi and Dr Huma Iftekhar spoke on the expertise of endodontists in performing root canals and other procedures to save teeth.

Dr Sana Shadab conducted the quiz competition.

Dr Asmat Fatima, Dr Shaziya Anjum, Dr Sarah Ahmad, Dr Daiashrailang Lyngdoh, Dr Faiza Javed, Dr Fatima Siddiqui and Dr Nandani Kumari presented scientific posters.
