Essay competition held to mark India’s G20 presidency

 

ALIGARH : The G20 celebratory events continued at Aligarh Muslim University with several departments of studies, schools and halls of residence organizing programmes to mark India’s presidency of the G20 summit.

The Department of Education organized an essay writing competition for its students on the theme of the G20 summit, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – One Earth, One Family, One Future”.

Huda Sultan won the first prize in the English language category while Kulsoom Reza and Aiyman Husnain received the second and third prize respectively.

Under the Hindi language category, first prize went to Pavika Maheshwari, second prize to Khushbu and the third prize went to Rahmat Jahan.

Anas Raza Khan won the first prize in Urdu essay writing competition, while Abu Maaz and Shaireen Khan got the second and third prize respectively.

Congratulating the winners and other participants of the literary event, Prof. Mujibul Hasan Siddiqui, Chairperson of the department and Dr. Mohd Shakir, Incharge, essay competition, said such events create a sense of competition in students and help them hone their literary skills.
