ESSCI signs MoU with KSDC, aims to help job seeker

New Delhi: The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI), an organization setup to provide skilled workforce for the electronics industry, signed a MoU with the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) to help skilled job seekers find employment opportunities across the country. Through this partnership, ESSCI and KSDC aim to bridge the employment gap for the job seekers in the state by equipping them with career-based learning and recruitment opportunities through collaborative events and initiatives.

As a part of the MOU, ESSCI will support KSDC for executing the projects in the skilling ecosystem, future skills, IT-based training and developing new skilled manpower for the electronics Industry. The MoU seeks to jointly address the opportunity and creating innovative capacity-building projects for students, youth, workmen, tribal, citizen-centric knowledge, and skill interventions.

Speaking after the signing of memorandum of understanding, Dr Abhilasha Gaur, COO, ESSCI said that this tie-up would benefit the youth who are seeking to pursue a career in the emerging electronics industry, specially electronics manufacturing. “We will facilitate OKCL in different fields such as NSQF aligned curriculum, content, courseware, providing online platform for training, employment for trained and certified candidates through ESSCI employment portal, and many more,” she added.

KSDC is undertaking steps to strengthen the skill ecosystem in the state by implementing several skill development schemes such as PMKVY 3.0, Pilot project under SANKALP (MSDE), RPL, Project Sankalp (GoG), NSQF Aligned Short Term Course, KVKs etc through which the local youth will be mobilised, counselled, trained and certified in different job roles enabling apprenticeship, wage employment or self-employment.
