Establishment of DDRC: DC B’pora chairs meeting of District Management Team

BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed today chaired a meeting of District Management Team for establishment of District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) in the district.

The meeting was informed that the centre would have the provision for multiple facilities for the persons with special ability.

Addressing the officers, the DC said that the District Disability Rehabilitation Centre is a noble initiative of the Govt to facilitate comprehensive services to Persons with Disabilities.

He said, the inmates will also be imparted skills in the DDRC which will help them to improve their livelihood.

After a threadbare discussion, the meeting decided to set up the District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) at old Hospital Bandipora.

Strict instructions were issued for establishment of the centre as per timeline.

The meeting was attended by DPO ICDS Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, ACP Bandipora Syed Altaf Hussain Mosavi, CMO Bandipora Dr. Bashir Ahmad, DSWO Bandipora Ubaid Ul Khazir and other concerned.
