Establishment of Panchayat level isolation centres: DC Kishtwar seeks cooperation of PRI members

Kishtwar: To expedite setting up of the 5-bedded Panchayat level COVID Care centres, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today held interaction with PRI members of Mughal Maidan and Chatroo blocks and solicited their active participating in the establishment process.

During the interactive meeting at TRC centre Block Mughal Maidan, BDC chairperson Mughal Maidan Shariefa Begum; SDM Chatroo, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; CMO Kishtwar Dr. R S Mamhas; Tehsildar Mughal Maidan Nayeem Iqbal Sheikh; BDO Mughal Maidan Arun Kumar Badyal, SHO Chattoo Sandeep Parihar besides other PRI members were present.

The DC informed the PRIs that the Panchayat level facility is being created for decentralization of Medicare facilities for effective tackling of 2nd wave of COVID19 pandemic.

The DC urged them to play a proactive role in the operationalisation of these centres in their respective Panchayats.

He asked them to work in tandem with the District Administration and Health Authorities in identifying the asymptomatic persons and lack isolation facility at their homes so that they can be shifted and taken care in these centres to curb the spread of virus.

Laying stress on mass vaccination and testing , he said that Panchayat level surveillance and task force teams have been constituted to conduct the sweep testing and vaccination of the left out age appropriate persons.

In this regard, he urged Sarpanchs and Panchs to lend their helping hand to identify, enlist and aware the people to get vaccinated at designated Panchayat level vaccination centres on mass mode.

During the meeting with the PRI members of the Chatroo block at Dak Banglow Chatroo, he asked the BDC chairperson, Hamida Begum, DDC member Rubina Begum and other PRI members to gear up their efforts in the process of establishment and operationalisation of 5 bedded CC centres in each Panchayat in the mountainous block for the benefit of the people.

Meanwhile, DC Kishtwar also inspected the micro containment zones notified in these blocks and reviewed the medicare facilities being provided to the Covid positive patients in home isolation.

Following all protocols, he interacted with the positive patients and took stock of the Medicare and other facilities being provided to them.
