Establishment of QIP Center at Department of Mechanical Engineering

 

Aligarh : The department of Mechanical Engineering at Aligarh Muslim University has achieved a milestone with the Quality Improvement Program (QIP) accreditation bestowed by the All-Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for the academic year 2024-25. This recognition marks a historic first for the entire college, highlighting the department’s dedication to excellence in both education and research.

The newly established QIP center will play a pivotal role in promoting research environment within the Mechanical Engineering Department. It will serve as a hub for interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing, promoting innovation and excellence across various engineering domains. Expressing his delight, Prof. M Muzammil, Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, remarked, “This achievement fills us with pride. We are having received AICTE’s approval to establish a QIP center within our department.”

Professor Salim Beg, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, added, “We believe that the QIP center will act as a catalyst for academic and research excellence, empowering our students and faculty to make significant contributions to the field of mechanical engineering.”

Professor M Sufyan Baig, Principal of ZHCET; emphasized that this recognition adds a new phase in the college’s journey towards global recognition as a center of excellence in engineering education and research .
