ETU “LETI”: LETI Webinar Introduced International Applicants to their Future University
On May 26, LETI representatives held a webinar where they presented summer schools, available training programs, internships, admission rules, adaptation, and living conditions to international applicants.
Renat Yalyshev, Head of the International Students Office, welcomed the participants of the webinar: “Our broadcast will help you choose a direction, having all the necessary information, and understand what your future university will be like.”
LETI students develop and test algorithms for self-driving vehicles on the Duckietown platform, a scaled-down model of an urban transportation environment. Anton Filatov, Assistant of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, presented it to the applicants and described the opportunities it creates for learning and innovation for full-size cars.
Students of technological innovation management at the university can get involved in the Startup as a Diploma project, where they can find investors for their company and bring it to the market. Alexandra Proshkina, Head of the Network Center for Technological Forecasting and Entrepreneurship of ETU “LETI,” told about project competitions, case study approach, startup accelerator, and other advantages of INPROTECH programs.
Students who do not speak Russian can study in Russian-taught university programs by taking the course at the Preparatory Department for International Students. Three training profiles – technical, economics, and humanities, the individual approach of teachers, and excursions to St. Petersburg were presented by Alexandra Kilina, the head of the department.

Employees of the International Students Office introduced applicants to the contents, conditions of enrollment, and educational process of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. University representatives held a quiz for the participants on the knowledge of LETI courses. The winners got the opportunity to study for free at one of the summer schools and online courses of the university.
