EuroKids Celebrates Aksharabhyasam with 1500 Children, Fostering Early Literacy and Growth
Chennai : EuroKids, the country’s foremost preschool expert, celebrated Aksharabhyasam, a sacred Indian tradition that marks the commencement of a child’s educational journey. This age-old ritual, particularly celebrated in southern India, symbolises the initiation of children into the world of letters and learning. The celebration held on the auspicious occasion of Aksharabhyasam across 200 EuroKids centres in the Southern region engaging 1500 students, showcased the brand’s commitment to preserving this heritage while integrating it with its newly launched ‘Heureka’, the Visible Thinking Curriculum.
The celebration of Aksharabhyasam at EuroKids is a reflection of the brand’s mission to create enriching educational experiences that extend far beyond the traditional classroom setting. By combining traditional customs with a forward-thinking curriculum and contemporary learning methodologies, EuroKids creates an environment where children are not only introduced to the world of literacy but are also empowered to embark on a journey of holistic growth. This unique approach ensures that each child begins their educational path with a solid foundation that nurtures academic excellence while equally focusing on their emotional, social, and cognitive development.
In order to make the Aksharabhyasam celebration a truly unforgettable experience, EuroKids organised a variety of engaging and interactive activities that brought together students, teachers, and parents. The event featured a respected pandit invited to perform the puja, during which children had their first alphabet beautifully inscribed on grains, symbolising their first step into the world of education. Following the puja, teachers engaged the children with interactive and educational play, further enriching the experience. These thoughtfully designed activities not only made the occasion joyful but also helped instil a deeper understanding of the value of education and fostered a love for life-long learning among students.
Speaking on the celebration, KVS Seshasai, CEO, Pre-K Division (EuroKids), Lighthouse Learning, said, “At EuroKids, we celebrate milestones that reflect the significance of learning in a child’s life. Aksharabhyasam is a wonderful tradition that not only initiates children into the world of knowledge but also allows them to connect with our rich cultural heritage. Our commitment goes beyond academics; it’s about nurturing the minds of tomorrow and building a strong foundation for their future.”
Through celebrations like this, EuroKids seeks to strengthen the foundation of early childhood education by instilling in children the value of lifelong learning, respect for culture, and curiosity from an early age. The newly launched curriculum underscores EuroKids’ commitment to shaping inquisitive, well-rounded learners, reaffirming its position as a leader in early childhood education.
