EuroSchool holds AVRIO 2.0 to envision The Schools Of Tomorrow
Mumbai: EuroSchool, a network of schools, under the EuroKids International Group, successfully held AVRIO 2.0, an academic initiative that brings together academicians to talk about the schools of the future and how they foresee the steps that the schools will have to take to make children future-ready.
The second edition of AVRIO took place in Mumbai on February 18, 2019 and saw the coming together or EuroSchools and Billabong High schools, for an event filled with great insights and visions.
EuroSchool launched AVRIO to bring academicians and stakeholders together, and find new teaching-learning techniques, in this era of disruptive technology, which are constantly pushing the boundaries of conventional education.
AVRIO 2.0 started with a panel discussion on ‘Creating the Change Together’ moderated by Lina Ashar, Founder of Kangaroo Kids Preschool & Billabong High International School. The panel, comprising Ruchira Ghosh, Regional Director South Asia at Cambridge Assessment International Education; Fatima Agarkar, Co-founder, KA Edu Associates Pvt Ltd; Francis Joseph, Co-Founder – SLN Foundation, Head – Development & Strategy for the Maharashtra International Education Board and Jeevan D’Cunha, Director PLCD, Global Education Solutions shared their views on how technology and emotional learning were shaping the future of education.
The event saw 13 teams from EuroSchool and Billabong High participating in a competition where they had to offer their vision for the Schools of Tomorrow.
The winners of the group rounds were:
· Group 1 – Impact on Individuals: EOS – Assessment and Content Mastery (EuroSchool Thane)
· Group 2 – Impact on Institutions: Neopaideia – Reinventing the subjects of the future (Euroschool Whitefield)
The final winner of AVRIO 2.0 was EuroSchool Thane.
Rajani Pattabhiraman, Principal, EuroSchool Thane, while receiving the winner’s trophy said, “AVRIO 2.0 was a great experience. I am happy that the hard work of our team paid off and led to this victory. I thank the corporate team at EuroSchool for their support over the past seven years, and I look forward to doing many more great things for the school in future. I feel this event was a terrific idea as it gave all the schools the opportunity to come together and share their thoughts on the Schools of Tomorrow. I believe that AVRIO will spark an idea which will change our education system for the better.”
